I spent most of my life growing up and falling in love with acting in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The acting bug first bit me in sixth grade, where I landed the role of The Writer in our school production of Neil Simon's "The Good Doctor." Ever since then, I involved myself in high school and later college theatre.
After graduating from The University of Virginia with a degree in Psychology and Drama, I moved to Washington, D.C. as an Americorps computer instructor for Byte Back, a non-profit dedicated to bridging the digital divide through computer education and job training. While my days were spent crafting curricula and teaching classes, my evenings and weekends were spent on a variety of acting projects and side gigs that included teaching assistant for theatre classes, pub trivia host, and even mascot / entertainer for kids' birthday parties.
It is currently my third year in DC and it has been an amazing experience so far. Every day I feel like I am gaining new opportunities, making new connections, and learning more about the biz and the craft!
